We liked everything and specifically the family who owns it. The accommodation was small but well designed. Very nice decor, comfortable, bright, and all around exceptional. The coffee shop across the street was owned by the same family and a highlight during our stay. The breakfast delivered to our accommodation each morning Was healthy and delicious! There is only good things to say about this accommodation. Loved it!

Tucked away on a property over 12000m² in size, Grande Hotel das Caldas da Felgueira is ideal for guests seeking pure relaxation. Read a newspaper in the hotel garden before enjoying a swim in the large outdoor pool, which is seasonal, being available from June to September. The termal pool and gym are available from March 10th until November 26th. In winter, you can rest in front of the fireplace.

The staff just couldn't have been nicer! Professional and pleasant, from the front desk staff, to the dining room staff to the cleaning staff, to the spa staff. Everyone was very nice and very helpful! The hotel is big and really beautiful. They are doing some updating (there was some construction going on outside and in the room next to us, but they were considerate and it didn't bother us at all--some nice updating going on). The room (suite) was adorable and very comfortable. It was my favorite room of the many hotels we stayed at on our trip. The spa uses natural thermal spring water, which is why we went there! ♨️ The pool is very large and with great views--has a diving board and is very deep at that end! 😀 The breakfast was excellent. Best coffee of the trip, and the food was delicious. Overall, this is a grand place to relax and be calm. I could see spending weeks there! (Which, some people probably do, due to the medicinal treatments at the spa).
