The hotel is new, so everything is fresh. The mattress was comfortable, and so were the pillows. WiFi was accessible all around the building. The AC unit was tranquil, and the room felt soundproof. The hotel is next to a construction supply store, and I couldn't hear noise in the morning. There is a restaurant next to the hotel lobby, and other restaurants nearby at walking distance.

I stayed here twice over the course of two months of travel through Panama. Santiago is a nice halfway point between places I was headed to and I absolutely loved my stay there. The hosts are super friendly, the garden is lovely - hammocks, nice tables, outdoor kitchen. The place is very clean and the dorm, (where I stayed), super comfy and calm. Highly recommend :)

the Black Lion inn knows exactly what it is: a budget highway stopover on the way to/from Boquete. With this in mind it is great! Clean and spacious rooms. friendly staff. Place to do some work/eat. Working AC.
there was a backery and mini market near by that offered all we needed. The little huts outside the hotel were a great location to eat surrounded by flowers and protected from the rain. All one can ask for!
