Excellent location to visit the city of Utrecht by public transportation (bus). Cosy B&B, comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful host. We only stayed for one night and would recommend the B&B to stay if you prefer not to stay in the city.

The accomodation itself was great clean comfortable and modern. the reception staff were really knowledgable on the area and history even showing us defence structures not listed on things to do in websites. they went above and beyond for us and really cant fault our stay. the site is surrounded by a quite canels and lake which act like a mote there are walking trails and alot of greenery which make a nice walk in the evenings. the site is approximatly 30 minutes walk to the town center through some quite back streets a nice walk again of an evening and not to far for children

This accommodation places in a nice middle class suburbian area. You can rent bicycles in there, which makes it a lot much more easier and accessible to move around and get groceries and the other. They have a nice reserve park more or less behind the property where you can get away to avoid people. You can cycle to Utrecht in somewhat short time if cycling is your thing. Otherwise you can take bus or train. Altough there's like around 1 km to the train station from the property. Overall, if you like nature, you'll enjoy the area. The host is very nice and gives a lot of suggestions and guides if need be. Apartment itself is spacious, your living quarters are on the top (third floor) and one of the stairs are famous dutch stairs. But don't worry, you'll get used to them. And you kinda need to walk through the apartment's hallways in order to get there. Overall clean and decent, very comfy super soft bed. Decently equipped kitchen so you'll be able to most likely wrap up a meal for yourself. The bathroom is pretty nice and spacious. The house itself is tad old, so expect creaky doors and floors and a bit of an antique furniture here in there, which brings it a little bit of an old summer house charm. However, house, like majority of all houses in that area are next to a pretty busy road, so sleeping (especially on weekends) can be a bit turbulent, especially if you are used to complete silence. However, if you're one of sleeping like a log people, you will have absolutely no problems. And either you get used to the constant traffic. There's a pleasant, well taken care of garden with a pond, around which you could chill while drinking tea or just sunbath. Overall, I'd summ it to the person that you are. If you're an introvert or have human anxiety and running into host sometimes might give you anxiety, then maybe this ain't for you. If you're an extrovert or ambivert, I'd recommend to give this a try.

Really nice place to stay in this amazing city! The host is super nice, helpful, clear, friendly and even talking Spanish for my mother :D 100% recommended!! Is 1 bus from almost all city center, and leaves you in front of the door. SUPER SUPER nice breakfast. 100% recommended this place!! Thanks!

We absolutely loved our stay here, we felt right away like home, thanks to the warm welcome from the owner Arjan and their dog BO! The Garden Appartement is beautiful, the interior very stylish and decorated with a lot of heart. Super comfortable beds. The kitchen area offers everything you need for your coffee and tea in the morning and if you decide to cook during your stay, you will find everything everything needed, even a dish washer. The terrace outside is a beautiful little area to enjoy your morning coffee or to wind down in the evening after an exciting day outside the apartment. We love Utrecht and we love THIS PLACE ❤️ We are definitely coming back!!

Check-in was uncomplicated. The host was reachable, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Living room: The apartment's partially below street level. It felt private enough but you can also just close the curtains and still have light come in. Comfortable seats, working table, enough sockets; it was cosy yet spacious. The heating works well. Kitchenette: A generous offering of breakfast items was provided, which is also covered in other people's reviews! Kitchen is functional with small luxuries, storage room and little extras like things to pack your lunch with. Enough cups/plates/glasses, cutlery. Bedroom: Comfortable and warm bed, but like someone else mentioned it's two separate matrasses. A gap filler could make the place even more attractive to travelling couples. Bathroom: I was worried when I saw photos of it not having a door, but it's not a problem for couples. It's also warm with extra heater and not too drafty. We stayed here on a very cold weekend (below zero) and it was fine. Neighbourhood: Just around the corner of a good shopping street with plenty of supermarkets, bars and restaurants. You can walk to the central station in 20+ minutes, but the route isn't easy to remember. The bus connection is great, though! Quiet: It's surprisingly quiet! You'll hear people walk/cycle past because the window is literally next to the street, but foot traffic stops fairly early. The host lives upstairs with a wooden floor so you'll hear some footsteps but they're very mindful. The fridge is close to the bed but not too loud. We had no trouble sleeping.
