Fantastic location. Excited me when I first saw the view from the room. The hotel is set on an uncrowded beach with several restaurants nearby. The hotel is clean, the breakfast plentiful and of excellent quality. Lots of fresh fruit, great thick toast and choice of how you'd like your eggs. Also fruit juice and choice of tea or coffee. Free cold bottled water available all day. Surf in front of the hotel is a little rough but a short walk to the corner of the beach offers a good swimming location with calmer waves. Just as good as the location, view and breakfast are the staff. Thomas and his crew are great hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. We stayed 4 days and it was our best stay in Sri Lanka over a one month period.

My stay in mango house was very good! You get all the peace and quiet you wish for at a place like talalla. At the same time this very friendly family gives you a clean and comfortable place for a good price, coming along with good food and a good atmosphere to spend your days. I would always come again. Because we love this place so much we returned for 3 more nights after our yoga-retreat. Immediately we felt like home again. The room has everything we need and is always very clean. The hospitality and awareness of this family is just incredible. Anu remembered our favourite dishes and every day we got a different one for dinner. Same with the breakfast. At the end they even got up in the middle of the night to give us a warm goodbye and a breakfast-parcel that we didn‘t stay hungry at the airport.

It was a great beautiful and quiet place. So we stay at first floor, and we got bedroom, Shower room, kitchen and living room. So it's enough place. And it was clean. Breakfast was great, big tasty and super fruit. Personal was kind and helpful. And if I got one more chance, Prasath, thank you for all your help, for showing all beautiful place near to serendip (on Google map), for finding and buying all Sri Lankan fruit. We really test all fruit on Sri Lanka . Someday we will return.

Upon arrival at Talalla Wonder View I was met by Darshani, the utterly adorable young woman who runs the establishment. Wonder View is a small, safe, family run establishment (just 2 rooms) that overlooks the beautiful crescent-shaped white sand beach. It is at the extreme southern end of the beach which is a lovely area. Wonder View has several thatched cabanas with comfy padded lounge chairs right on the beach where you can easily spend an afternoon or two or three. My room was small and basic but with everything I needed including an excellent mosquito net, fan, comfortable bed and an outlet to charge electronics. Between the fan and the slightly cooler nights, I slept well. The water pressure in the bathroom tended to ebb and flow but was fine for showering. There is no hot water if that is important to you, but you don’t really need it and personally I found the cool water refreshing. The rooms share a spacious terrace that overlooks the beach and it’s another great place to relax. Just don’t don’t leave any snacks unattended because there are monkeys that will pinch your food in a hot second! Breakfast, which was included, was provided at the family’s Tree Top restaurant next door. You will be served a substantial Sri Lankan-western meal that you can enjoy with a pot of tea or coffee while gazing out at the beach. Sweet! There are also other restaurants nearby for drinks and meals. Worth noting: the path to the beach and the steps up to the Tree Top Restaurant might be challenging for someone with mobility issues. A handrail on the path would help keep everyone safe. For the price, view, delightful host and beach access, Talalla Wonder View is fantastic value!

Gabi, the owner, is very kind and welcoming - always ready to help you! The rooms are spotless, well equipped and they are well isolated so the room keeps a good temperature even without using the AC. The basic breakfast provides fresh products and a good presentation. Finally the location is 2-3 minutes walking distance to the beach - on top of that you can also use the swimming pool.

If ur in Thalalla stay here it was the best sleep I had in Sri Lanka , bed is comfy , I had a hammock outside to chill, it’s right next to the beach, the food was soo good and the owners are so sweet !
