Rooms were very comfortable and big. It was about 15 miles by car to the centre. We had rooms at the same floor as reception so there was no view from the window - only on street - and we heard the noise from the reception, not recommend to be on the same floor.

We had a wonderful time at Hanthana House! The hotel is located in the beautiful hilltops of Kandy with lovely views, a nice place to stay away from the noise of the city.
The room was cosy and super clean. We had breakfast and dinner, both excellent.
The best part was the lovely manager and staff who all were helpful with organising everything from Tuk tuks to evening walks.

Loved our stay! A little out of town, a peaceful location with stunning views. Loved the sunrise from the outdoor shower and fabulous food and info provided by owners. They went over and beyond. Catered amazing gluten free food. Highly recommend.

It's a very very charming boutique hotel. It has an Italian design. The manager speaks good English and knows what hospitality is. He organised everything for us, was genuine interested and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is also good. And it's easy in this hotel to also meet other travellers (with families).
The views from the hotel are stunning, it's a little bit out of the city center but therefore also nice and quiet.

The location is unreal, and the hut is very very beautiful. The place is in the middle of the mountains and perfect for people walking the pekoe trail (stage 1 and 2 can be done from this place). The owner is incredibly friendly and the food is amazing. Best bbq chicken we had in Sri Lanka! The place itself is very cozy (Do not expect too much luxury but all the essentials are there) and gives a true feeling of camping. Beautiful location for hikers and outdoor enthousiast.
Location was Fantastic. Road to the location is steep. If you are travelling with your family, be careful as it is difficult to steer in the road lonely.
The care-taker of the place is really nice, friendly and serves well. The scenery and surrounding is great with a lovely climate and facilities including carrom boards and swimming pool. Care-taker cooks well and serves the needs with friendly gesture. Great location to take a rest and walk around the mountain paths.
