I had a very nice stay at the Greenline Homestay. The room made a spacious and clean impression.
The bathroom was also well maintained and really quite new. The host gave us a very friendly welcome and did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
The dinner and breakfast were excellent and left nothing to be desired.

Lovely little hideaway. The owner kindly arranged for a tuk tuk to collect us from the train station.The cottage was so homely and well equipped with everything you might need. We loved the veranda where you could relax and enjoy the quiet view down to Ella. It was really cool to see the trains coming along the line as well ( there aren't that many trains!)
The owners wife cooked us dinner and breakfast - both meals were traditional Sri Lankan and really delicious.
This property is a real gem if you like an authentic and home from home experience.

Tea cabin staff were excellent, they arranged everything that we needed from trips to transfers. The setting of the cabin was fantastic with amazing views and very private. Would highly recommend it if you have the chance to stay.

Our host was super friendly and helped us wherever he could. The location was great, around 7 minute walk to centre and not too far from the Ella Rock hike since it was close to the train track. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was diverse and tasty.

Walking to the main central area of Ella is via a short cut thru the train tracks. Am experience one should not missed. Lovely views and quiet area. Suited for adventure walkers who doesn’t mind the uphill. Otherwise, a fast tuktuk ride can take you to the accomodation within about 10 minutes. This can also be organised with the owner should you wish. Traditional breakfast was fab ! Staff were lovely. The Pekoe trail is worth a try and can easily be accessed without a need for a walking guide.
