The family was very welcoming and helpful. The daughter spoke very good English, which helped overcome our almost non existant Italian.The facilities and rooms were very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped with an outdoor bbq if required. The aircon was really cool. There was a lounge with a TV and Netflix. Outside, there was a large private patio with dining tables and an area with swinging chairs sheltered from the sun and overlooking the carrubbo, olive, and fig trees. Very quiet at night. And the local town has several good eating places which don't open until around 7.30 but rapidly fill up when they do. The family has a restaurant and gelateria down at the coast. The ice cream is genuinely wonderful, I have had a lot of Italian ice cream, and this ranks in the top 3. It is a good base to see Modica, Ragusa, and Notto. But we just enjoyed being there for a few days as well.

This accommodation is very cute and the location is very ideal for someone driving in Sicily. It's in the middle of nature in the middle of a valley, very close to Ragusa (10mins drive) and still very quiet and away from all the 'chaos'. It is ideal for someone who is after some peace and quiet in the Sicilian countryside. It's surrounded by fields and trees, and it's half a minute walk from a little stream. It is also around 7 mins drive from Lago Santa Rosalia which is a very nice picnic/bbq area where one can also go for a lovely walk too. It's also very close to an excellent restaurant called La Capinera (just 1 minute drive). There's private parking and the owners are very welcoming and friendly. We were even welcomed with some fresh orange juice and fresh oranges and grapefruit. The beds are sofa beds but we found that it was ok (just quite squeaky whenever you turn around in bed). Please bear that on Booking even though we had listed down the children, somehow the owners weren't notified that we would have 2 children with us, so if you need to open up the 2nd sofabed, it's better to write to the owners directly and inform them as there is some charge for that. The property is kept very clean and comes with a small basic kitchen which is good for basic things of heating up food while on holiday. It comes with a small balcony which leads to a bigger terrace, both overlooking fields and countryside. The larger terrace is shared with the owners' 2nd rental property, however it's quite big. The children enjoyed playing in the balcony and terrace. We enjoyed staying in these areas for breakfast in order to take in the surroundings. When we arrived there, there was a problem with the wifi as the signal was very weak and we couldn't use it, however Luca, the owner took care of this as soon as he can and fixed this.

It is a brand new B&B which was quite comfortable and furnished with taste. Everything was perfect and above all very clean. The owner was helpful and friendly. We couldn't have picked a better location. The B&B is located right next to the entrance to the famous garden villa where we ended our evenings after long days of traveling around Ragusa. It's also located next door to the best "arancine" place in town.

The house is located in a nice starting point to look around Ragusa. I could park my car nearby without passing by ZTL. The host was really kind and always ready to help me. He also suggested some nice restaurants and nice route to look around the city. The breakfast was prepared privately with lots of variations and options. Bedding was also so nice that I could sleep well. Everything was perfect.
