    With zero hyperbole I can say this is the quintessential Irish cottage experience. While not the largest place you might stay, the cottage has just enough space to be perfectly sized and set up in a way that only magnifies the charm of the spectacular location. The kitchen was also equiped with normal things you'd expect in a normal kitchen (this is rare in places it seems).

    Anne is a wonderful, welcoming host. The location is fantastic (go for a swim in nearby Tra Bhan). The accommodation is spotless and has everything you need, very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen in a thatched cottage with great character.

    The location was excellent with breathtaking scenery. You could not ask for more. The house was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. I have stayed in a lot of houses in Ireland and the UK but this is the best that I have ever experienced. So much packed into such a small space is quite amazing. Noreen, the caretaker, was charming and very helpful.

    The location is fantastic, on the edge of the pretty village of Kilcar and right beside a rocky mountain salmon & trout river with adjacent lovely community garden along the rocky mountain salmon & trout river, free for all to visit and also to sit down and read and rest in. The B&B rooms were very clean, large and with comfy beds. The hostess was very friendly and engaging and is a credit to Donegal.

    Very comfortable room with everything you need, with en-suite bedroom and walk-in closet. Very nice host, providing good advice and flexible. Very nice full Irish breakfast. Ideal location for Slieve League, 10-15 min away by car, and Donegal visits. Supermarket 100 metres away.

    The location was perfect. The property was very clean and heating was on when we arrived which was very welcome when you arrive on a motorcycle and are cold. Exceptional views all around. Completely private, only the sheep for good company.

    Location was super, in centre of village. Host was very friendly and helpful. We could have breakfast at what ever time suited us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. The place was spotless, room spacious with a spacious en-suite. Very friendly and homely place to stay. I will go back to Kilcar Lodge again. Teresa runs a super place to stay.
