Traditional country inn with separate en suite accommodation offering good food and real ale. Convenient village location in The Vale Of The White Horse close to market towns and Oxford.

Seventeenth-century village inn with comfortable, peaceful guest accommodation in a converted barn. Traditional bar meals and real ales with a comfortable non-smoking dining room. Beer garden.

The hotel is very well run by a young, friendly efficient staff. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent value for money. The dinner was delicious and great value for money. There is a comprehensive menu, covering interesting dishes for types of dietary preferences. Our taxis to and from a local party that we attended were booked by the hotel and arrived on time - even late on a Saturday night. Check out on Sunday was not until 11am.

Lovely friendly staff, perfectly clean room, loved the decor, comfortable bed and totally silent at night, I stayed for two nights with the window open and there was no noise from outside or inside, this was a pleasant surprise as I had brought headphones due to past experiences of noise at different hotels. Also in a beautiful location.

A rare find, peaceful location, friendly staff (all excellent). I ate both breakfast and dinner on two consecutive days - I can't compliment the chefs strongly enough - food was some of the best I have had in a country pub for some time

Excellent breakfast, good service in a lovely olde world pub in a remote location close access to some lovely walks including the White Horse Hill. Very quiet location. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were in an annex away from the main pub. We had room 5 which had a lounge area and a bedroom and bathroom upstairs so was quite spacious. This was ideal as we were traveling with a friend as we had somewhere to get together.

It is a very quiet location in a pretty village with beautiful scenery on the drive there. Breakfast is the usual with cereal, juice, tea, coffee and a choice of cooked food all tasty. The bedroom is nicely decorated with a comfy bed and everywhere was very clean. The ensuite is up some stairs which is fine unless your mobility isn't good.

Extremely clean, self-contained unit adjacent to the pub. Room appeared freshly decorated and was spotless. Only downside was that the pub didn't do meals (they did do wonderful pizzas but that was the only thing on the menu). I left before breakfast so cannot comment on that. Pub was beautiful in quiet location.

Lovely location, right under the chalk White Horse it self. Beautiful characterful building - the rooms were in a modern extension to one side, and mine was more like a mini suite, with a sitting room downstairs and spacious bathroom and twin bedroom upstairs. The décor was fresh and stylish, and everything was spotless. I had a really good evening meal, and there was a good choice at breakfast. They even made me a packed lunch to take away with me. Highly recommended.

Nice location, close to white horse hill and The Ridgeway path. Peaceful village setting. Lovely food and drink in pub (try and let them know in advance if you have dietary requirements), our room was seperate from the pub so nice and quiet. Very clean. Comfy bed and good shower. Slept really well! Great stay.
