    Beautifully decorated and modern despite being a period property. Kitchen was great, had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and bedding. Very clean. Cosy living room with lots of different lighting options and a fire (not that we needed it) was great for relaxed nights in. Location was good although like a lot of wivenhoe was on a hill but great exercise. :-). Dog friendly and lots of walks nearby. Overall would recommend and stay again. Thank you!

    We had an exceptional stay at the property. The cottage was lovely with plenty of space and a garden. The facilities were clean and it was pretty quiet throughout the whole week. The location within Wivenhoe was perfect- it's close to the river, the train station (for easy access to London) and other facilities. A relaxing holiday stay.

    The room/bed was very comfortable and we slept well. We ate in the hotel as well as the food was really nice and well priced. Whilst the location in itself is not exciting it was ideal for what we and our friends wanted to do. It was really clean with a great rainfall shower and good size bottles of toiletries.

    Had a great stay at this lovely cottage so much so we stayed an extra 5 days. It was absolutely spotless and the bed was so comfy! Great location. Owners kindly left us a bottle of Prosecco which was greatly appreciated. Wivenhoe is a great place and we will definitely be back.

    The room was stylish, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was ideal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is easy to access by road, with ample parking, but also not far from the local train station. You are 1.5km from the Wivenhoe Trail, which makes for a lovely walk along the river, North Essex at its finest.

    The house was very clean and had nice touches like biscuits and chocolates when we arrived. Garden was lovely and hot tub great. Location is nice and easy to find with plenty of parking on the road and a couple of spaces round the back.
