I arrived later than expected but the hosts couldn't have been nicer and even provided me with an evening meal after the local pub stopped serving. The cottage had everything I needed - natural setting, not too warm and not too cold; great breakfast conveniently made earlier than expected, good shower, spacious room. I would highly recommend this place to stay for a few days or more !

We visited during scarecrow festival which was good fun and brought the village to life in the daytime.

Perfect location, just on the outskirts of the village but close to the river walk, the room was small but perfect with all of the lovely extra touches, there was a lovely seating area just outside our room, with board games, books, and cake 🍰, we lost our bag on arrival, turned out we’d dropped it on our way in and a neighbour had picked it up, the owners couldn’t do enough to help us. Breakfast was wonderful with so many choices and all locally sourced, would definately stay again

Fab little place to stay with our dog for a few nights in the Dales. Tiny (as described) but everything you needed was there, very well thought out. Lovely little village to walk from and explore, no need to use the car and we made use of the handy pub over the road for one breakfast & meal.

The accommodation is a little cramped but satisfactory.
The staff were extremely helpful, polite, patient and professional (considering the occasion and level of crowding in the pub over that weekend).
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. It was a delight to stay at Cleveliot House. What an amazing place with 10/10s all round. Excellent location, gardens and brilliant hosts. Breakfast was superb with excellent veg/vegan options. Very dog friendly - the enclosed run-around field was very secure and great fun for the dog. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Very secure parking with remote-control operated gate. We'll definitely be back. We ate at the pub across the road which was also excellent.
The location, was spotless with attention to detail. Fabulous garden to sit out in. Everything about this home was wonderful. Hosts were so friendly. Would highly recommend.
Don't normally stay in pubs but the reviews for this one looked good so took a chance. Wasn't disappointed. Staff very friendly, room very clean and newly decorated to a high standard. Food was also very good and reasonably priced. Starbotton is a lovely location.
Very clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds, staff extremely friendly and helpful, and both the evening meal and breakfast were very good. It's in a magnificent location too, with all the things you could wish for from Yorkshire Dales scenery
Location was beautiful. The landlord takes pride in keeping his beer well and all 4 brews we sampled were in peak condition. The room was very clean and comfortable with an excellent shower. Evening meal menu has excellent quality food and not the usual pub fare.
