This place is great - the room was huge and very comfortable, also very well equipped. Ian was a wonderful host - very communicative and friendly. After a lovely relaxing night there was an array of delicious breakfast choices, there eee also facilities to cook your own food. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to others

Good location near the M62. Ideal for overnight stay but could also be a base for visiting York, Leeds, Harrogate, Hull, etc. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Food was delicious. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent location for visiting family in the area, with plenty of secure parking. Rooms well thought out and finished to a high standard. Spacious bathroom and room making it ideal for a longer stay. We had a room facing the garden and it was super quiet. Restaurant was busy and food very good.

The location was ideal for us and the Inn and Restaurant was better than we expected. The welcome was exceptionally friendly as were the staff throughout the venue. The room was quiet and comfortable and we ate dinner in the restaurant which was fantastic and the breakfast was outstanding.

There is nothing to fault with this hotel! Very friendly staff, clean rooms with everything you need (tea, coffee, water, biscuits), delicious food for both dinner and breakfast. Ideal location for trip into York if you want a nice countryside location the night before. Great outside area for drinks. Would definitely revisit.

Fabulous rural location, ideal for a quiet getaway. Our room was a really good size, with a huge bed (matress was soft, which was ideal for me). Breakfasts were lovely. Would definitely visit again.

location not far from the wedding venue of the peppered pig. the landlord was really helpful and friendly and even offered us a lift for the car in the morning. breakfast was great and the room and pub are very clean.

The location was ideal, the rooms were lovely - well appointed and very clean. There is a lovely restaurant serving dinner and breakfast - a great breakfast! and although the weather was not good when we were there, it looked as if there were nice grounds I. which you could enjoy food and drink too. The team looked after us really well and did all they could to make us welcome - this is a really lovely property and well worth a visit.
