I travel a lot for work and stay in loads of hotels and apartments, mainly booked on Booking.com and Airbnb. Most are OK, some not great, but few are truly exceptional. The Sail Lofts are firmly in the exceptional category. The accommodation was excellent - comfortable and smartly furnished, the location was outstanding, the breakfast provided (in advance) was the best I've ever seen, and the stay was great value for money. Truly a (very rare) 10/10 for me, by far and away the best spot in Douglas that I've stayed - and there have been many!

We are situated in Douglas the capital of the island and the many attractions of the island are within reach. Whether your visit is for business or pleasure the Melrose is an ideal base, great for families, couples and businessmen. Ideally located for the business sector, shops, promenade and the many bars and restaurants Douglas has to offer. Also for the more energetic there are some beautiful designated walks throughout the island.

A little gem of a b&b where we were welcomed in. Couldn't do enough for us and even went out and got Manx smoked kippers for our breakfast one morning after a conversation about us having had them over 40 years ago!
