A really lovely, immaculate guest house. Check in was all arranged on arrival. The room was very clean and comfortable. The property is located just away from the main street and was very quiet. The breakfast, whilst not having a cooked option, did have most options you could want and was served in a lovely breakfast room. A really nice one night stay in a property I would definitely recommend and would use again without hesitation.
Just 20 minutes from Inverness, Kincraig Castle Hotel is a period property with magnificent views, and boasts a central location for exploring the north of Scotland.

It’s very cliche to a castle.
It’s cute and we had a good night there.
Furnishings etc are exactly what you would expect from a “castle” / hotel.
I believe most rooms were occupied, but only one staff member to do the bar, reception and deal with the guests, it was awkward at best.

Lovely building on the edge of town, but it was only a short, pleasant walk back to the High Street. The room was beautiful and large and felt very uplifting. We checked in late and left early and it was all very easy. We stayed here en route to playing golf at Royal Dornoch and it was a pleasant 20 minute drive. Tain itself is a lovely little town as well, so we felt privileged to have stayed here.

Brilliant place to stay! This was our second time staying, first in 'Wee Shot' and this time in 'Half Pint'. Both are clean cozy and comfortable with everything you need. We especially liked the log burners! Lovely, friendly hosts and a great location to explore Tain and further afield in the Highlands. Just next door to the Tain Adventure Cafe which has the best Mac and Cheese! Thank you and good luck with the bus! 😊
