The staff were genuinely welcoming and approachable.
We had been at Hotel Tresanton the day before and the Crown and Garter staf far exceeded those we met there in hospitality, approachability and efficiency..

Very quiet location for a peaceful sleep. We did hear an owl hoot in the evening, very special! The bed is enormous and really very comfortable with good quality duvet and pillows. Large bathroom as well with all facilities. Dogs were super friendly and welcoming as well as their owner. I loved seeing the squirrels run and jump in and out of the walnut tree.

Lovely house at the edge of town. The house itself is great, very comfy and equipped with everything you may need even for a longer stay. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped, there's nothing you may miss and this is a huge plus when you cater for yourself. The location is great, cows walk by several times a day, but it is still a walking distance from the town centre. There's a pub a few meters away. The communication with the owner went flawless.

Lovely little cabin. Perfect quiet location . All the facilities you need. Excellent communication and very helpful. The air conditioning was needed on a very muggy day in the UK that day. Would definitely be back and recommend to everyone I know if they visit the area.

Would recommended to anyone staying in the Inkpen area
I’ve given 8/10 yet I loved everything about my one nights stay.
The room was much nicer than I expected for the price I paid. Whilst small it was one of the most pleasant I have stayed in and spotlessly clean.
The hotel is in a nice village location and has a lovely outdoor area. The beer was good and so was the fish and chips. I would definitely stay here again.
it was beautifully decorated and was very clean the location was very rural and very pretty. we dined st the property in the evening and had a first class three course meal. Breakfast was also excellent especially the homemade granola.
Lovely location, rooms designed well and comfortable bed. They were very short on staff but the gentleman who was dealing with reception as well as breakfast was welcoming, cheerful and calm, despite obvious challenges.
Ideal location for our visit to nearby Highclere Castle. Excellent full English breakfast included in the price . Very friendly helpful staff . Accommodation top quality. Would highly recommend.
