The hotel's location though fairly remote was out of this world. The views from the rooms and the patio simply breathtaking. The rooms were super comfortable and clean, we wished we could of somehow magically transport the bed back home. Dinner was very good and the breakfast exceptional. The food was outstanding. We ordered dinner the night of arrival and were served a delicious 3-course meal with vegetables straight out of their garden. There were a large variety of items available for breakfast including cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, homemade bread, juice, tea and coffee or you could choose a cooked Scottish breakfast. Jane is an excellent cook and her fruit crumble with custard is something you shouldn't miss!

Such a nice and cozy place! Staff is warm and helpful, big kitchen with all the tools to make meals just like at home, great dinning/lounge area to chill and meet other travelers, lots of sitting space overlooking the lake. The bus stops literally at the front door of the hostel! Couldn't be more practical. Was impressed how comfortable and clean the place is. Really the cleanest hostel i have ever seen!(specially bathrooms which are usually the biggest concern when using shared facilities, were spotless, even though there were lots of people). There are many books, board games and a pool table for the rain moments, also multiple maps with info on trails and interesting outdoor activities. Intensely pleasant experience, should definitely have planned to stay longer!
