Lovely simple clean rooms, although all the Egyptian statues were not to my taste, I could appreciate the effort. This is normally run as a spiritual retreat place so best to avoid if you're against spiritualism. The shared area is comfy and warm, with tea making facilities and lots of squishy sofas. Lots of parking. Very good value overall. Make sure to ask for a towel when you check in.

Brilliant place to stay and the location is fantastic. Cathryn messaged me with all the necessary details well before we were due to arrive so we could get in immediately when we arrived. It was very clean and had all the necessities. We were very pleased and most definitely would stay here again. Everything we came to do was within easy reach and even Tesco's was only a 10 min drive away. Our dog was allowed too which was wonderful. Overall we had a fabulous stay and have fallen in love with Wales, thank you Cathryn.

The best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in! Lovely hosts, spotlessly clean, renovated to a very high standard with high quality bath products and towels. The room was lovely with a high pressure shower and bath. I woke this morning to the sound of birds singing and the river.Perfectly cooked breakfast.. very filling! Ample parking and a great location from which to explore the Brecon Beacons. Pub walkable with good food. Will definitely return when next in South Wales and will recommend to everyone.

Location was excellent as ae were at a wedding at the castle opposite. Room was clean but very cold and no ability to control the heat (I found a heater in a cupboard on the landing) Beds were comfortable. WiFi did not work in my room (top floor) and I could get no signal for the TV either. There was one tea bag and one coffee sachet next to the kettle but no milk. Lovely views from window and bedding was nice. Just a few little cheap things would make this more comfortable no WiFi was an issue

The location is fantastic which is why this was our 2nd visit. Beautiful surroundings and the walk to the lake is worth it. The communal room is fabulous, especially all the candles and crystals. Bed was super comfy and shower hot. Rooms look like they have been refurbished since last time and were very clean. It's incredibly peaceful. The manager, Jemma, is very helpful. Oakleigh was also very helpful and friendly.

Beds were comfortable and the location to Craig-Y-Nos castle was superb, given we were attending a wedding there it was absolutely ideal. If you are attending the castle for a function, use this place to stay as it's much cheaper.
