A brilliant stopover as we travelled down to the Dordogne. Beatrice was very welcoming. So clean and spacious. Toys for the children. Outdoor seating area where we enjoyed our dinner and a glass of wine once the children were in bed. Lovely walking around the town in the morning to see the old industrial area.

We had the Marie Antoinette room which was spotless. Patrick and Francoise were the most welcoming hosts very charming and kind. They booked a local restaurant for us in the nearby village ,food was outstanding .

Short stay with our two girls which instantly transformed into little princesses in this setting. All the installations maintained with love for detail and very clean. Playground of course a big plus in our case. We had the family suite which is very spacious. The kids room had a perfect selection of books.
Very good breakfast - charming host and hostess - and the lovely pool was a huge benefit in exceptionally hot weather. Only slight disadvantage of the location is the need to drive into Chatellerault to find dinner - after a long hot day's drive it would have been nice to find somewhere closer but we ate well and the chateau is a real gem.
