Jessica recommended several restaurants, but especially our dinner at Le Relais de Beaufort was excellent! They have a vending machine outside, so the following day we went back for a meal which we took home.
Special note: there was a snackbar a few minutes from our accommodation. I cannot remember the name but if you want a quick and simple mail, I can recommend this for fries, etc. We speak basic French and the man working there heard our accents and came without asking to offer help in translating the menu and explaining what was on offer. A very kind and friendly gesture!

We were lucky not to stay in the main building, but in the building that was shown on the pictures. From the reviews we read (too late), we learned that that is not the normal way. The main building is a senoirs home.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Popular with backpackers, many properties can be found in central locations and include comfortable rooms with private or shared bathrooms. You’ll also find a number of options which feature a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
Free parking exactly out of the hotel. Very easy check in and out. 4 euro only for the dog and 8.5 euro for breakfast. Breakfast was small variety but more than adequate. Very spacious rooms. On the way to our route in terms of location. Exactly what we needed for a night. Very kind staff.
A cheap and cheerful hotel on the edge of a retail park. Receptionist was pleasant enough. The room was big and clean and quiet. Bed was big; two good singles pushed together with the right bedding. Tele. Shower room was clean and bright. Toiletries provided. Plenty of hot water. Plenty of towels. Literally across the road from a buffet restaurant. Half mile to a Buffalo Grill! Breakfast can be bought.
