It was a wonderful experience to stay in an actual chateaux. The hostess had some books out with histories of the chateaux in France, so we were able to learn about where we were staying. She also greeted us when we arrived and gave us a walk through of the spaces open to guests. She stayed to chat with us for some time after. It was a nice way to welcome guests to the chateau. Breakfast was a lovely continental breakfast. The coffee was amazing and I had a full pot of water for tea.
