The location and setting were fabulous..... quiet countryside, on edge of small village, not far from bigger city of Auxerre. We reckon that was the most comfortable bed we had on our whole trip. Breakfast was good, and available right on time.. Hosts, Bruno and Marie were very pleasant and very helpful. This is just the right place to relax before hitting Paris and CDG.. The Chateau de Villefargeau is a very picturesque, quiet, relaxing place to stay. The Chateau is close to Auxerre for easy transport by car, taxi or bicycle. The host is delightful, very helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The 2 bedroom place we stayed in was lovely with large rooms and a very comfortable bed. We would revisit in a heartbeat. While on our morning or dusk stroll around the grounds we saw resident wild deer feeding - very special!

The studio owners tried to provide everything you could possibly need, which was very thoughtful, but it made the room rather crowded. There were even tea, coffee and cakes provided. Owners introduced themselves and offered us the table in the garden to eat at – very nice offer, as there was very little space in the room for eating. Walk-in shower worked well. There was plenty of space across the road for parking
