I really enjoyed my stay. After a very long,hot motorcycle ride the room was nice and cool. The pool was extremely welcome! The establishment was very typical and homely. My family and I had a lovely stay at La Saintonge, the four of us stayed for four nights and thought that the property was superb quality, exceptionally comfortable, super clean and lovely quiet surroundings. We were met by the owner and her granddaughter who showed us the property and handed us the keys. Fabulous property! We then had great choices of beaches around Royan and up towards La Rochelle - all 30-40 min drive away through pleasant French countryside. An advantage of being located slightly in-land is that you get super quiet and calm surroundings, easy access to château’s and and small towns, as well as easy access to stunning beaches. The grounds of the property are substantial and lots to entertain the kids - swings and slides etc and a long gated driveway for the kids to practice their bike rides. We loved it and would absolutely return! Highly recommended if you want a peaceful oasis with a very high quality finish.
