The property is even better than expected. Extremely clean and well decorated. The owner left us a very copious and delicious breakfast with amazing cherries and she was the kindest you could imagine. Truly charming rural hotel in this hidden valley above Barco de Avila.A real oasis of calm with incredible views of the Gredos mountains. Beautiful, furnishings in the spacious bedrooms. Large but cosy sitting rooms, gorgeous terracota terraces looking out over the garden and Sierra. The service was warm and friendly sorting our every need. We ate twice in the restaurant in the evening and lunch the following day because the outside terrace was such a special spot. The food was good, both the fish and meat. We really fell in love with the place and area. Perfect for walking and cycling and close to the town of Barco. We shall return! Very good value for money!

A beautiful place in the Sierra de Gredos, with plenty of walking opportunities. The host knows the region very well and provided us with detailed information about the walking trails. The breakfast was delicious, with all types of local goods. The rooms are spacious and clean.

Beautiful old building in an historical village. Drive into the little square right beside La Picota, unload your luggage, check in and then park at the other side of the village.. easy! lovely, friendly staff, spotless, lovely room.
Nice location in the middle of the village. Close to a convenience shop and a bar. The wifi was good for the area. The people in the area are very nice and greet you with “hola buenos dias” as you walk along the road.
Spacious and well-appointed appartment, with a big picture-window that looks out on the garden/pool. You can relax on your private terrace or by the pool.
Very peaceful and quiet location, great for lounging the days away! We were here off-season (mid oct) and during the week we had the place pretty much to ourselves. Very welcoming hosts. Close to several walking-trails into the Sierra de Gredos and several small quaint villages.
