I could not have picked a better hotel for my stay in Palas de Rei. The owner Gustavo went out of his way to pick me up in town and drive me to the property. The rooms are cozy, warm and the beds are heavenly after a long day trailing down the Camino. They have a massage chair where I spent at least an hour and a half resting my very tired legs. They also have a beautiful and peaceful living room where you can rest up and read your book. I felt at home thanks to Gustavo and his very kind staff, and would 110% recommend staying at Pazo de Laia!

Rectoral de Lestedo is located about three miles east of Palais de Rei on the Camino. The main building is very attractive with nice stonework inside and out. There isn't much else around so if you stay here you're committing to eating in the onsite restaurant. But that's okay because our meal there was one of our favorites while walking the Camino. Miguel our server was a delight to talk with and the food was plentiful and excellent. It's a great atmosphere to relax after a long day of walking. Our room for three was spartan (just three beds and a chair) but it was clean and had a nice bathroom. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly.
