    Location was great overlooking the square, and also quiet. The room was bigger than we anticipated give the price. A great place to stay if doing the Camino del Norte.

    Ideal for Camino travellers for somewhere to stay, it's basic but for somewhere so remote it is fine, has everything you need! A hot shower is most important I think!

    We were walking the camino and had been stopping in alberques and cheaper accommodation. We wanted a night with a little more comfort, so we booked Antsotegi, and what a result that was! Great rooms and delicious food in a fantastic environment, but what really made it was the staff!!! Passionate and knowledgeable about their basque region, they introduced us to local wines and foods, made just a stones throw away. We only stayed one night, but rest assured we will be back again for a longer stay very soon.

    Spotlessly clean, cool airy room with plenty of extra blankets, towels, etc should we need them after a long strenuous day walking the Camino del Norte. The lady who checked us in was very warm & friendly. There’s a pharmacy, shop & bar very close by, as well as a bus stop where buses travel 10 mins to / from Merkina.
