I have used this hotel on a number of occasions when traveling between the UK and my business location in Germany and would recommend it, good location only a few minutes from the motorway. Very welcoming staff, clean and comfortable room. The restaurant offers a good menu selection and is high quality. Breakfast is excellent.

The Breakfast was amazing and they even make me scrambled eggs! Very comfortable and I wasn't rushed at all. I was met with a smile when checking in and was made to feel welcome, as though in someone's home. The room and building was extremely clean and orderly on the inside and the out. I particularly loved that my room had so many windows and could get so much sun and fresh air.

The Sturmhof is in a beautiful location, with well-tended gardens and mature fruit trees; the site is in a rural location but under 5 minutes by car from Grefrath (and probably walkable, though we didn't try). The apartment itself combines traditional architecture with a quirky layout and modern conveniences: there's a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessities that you don't want to have to buy for a short stay, like salt, oil and herbs/spices. The rooms are all well proportioned with no shortage of space and each has a TV. In the building there's even a little corner where you can buy drinks and local produce and there's a supermarket in the town if you need more. Grefrath is a pleasant small town, which also has restaurants and a bakery and a range of other amenities. The owners were there to meet us when we arrived around 9pm to hand over the keys and show us around and also responded quickly when we asked questions via the booking.com app. There are many thoughtful touches to the accommodation and what's been made available e.g. shopping bags provided. From a personal perspective, the location is well-positioned to break the journey from Dunkirk to Hamburg. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
