Such a lovely location in Laufenburg.The room was very new, fresh, and clean. Nice kitchen on the ground floor with supplies available for purchase. A delicious baked treat provided in the room from the owners’ bakery. Lovely view out the windows. Basic room for a very good price. Breakfast is perfect for the location. I felt terribly exposed being seated alone in the middle of the restaurant, there were no other guests! I do think restaurants, or this place, have a problem with solo older ladies.
The bed is very, very comfortable, and this is great!

Anthony was super friendly, quick to communicate and answer questions. The location of the guesthouse in Rheinfelden is very good, close to the station and within walking distance of the old town centre. Great breakfast and all day / night honesty bar and snacks. Definitely recommend if you are looking to stay near Basel (trains are only 15mins or so into the centre from here). The local area is fabulous too with lovely walks along the Rhein and the historic centre of Rheinfelden to explore.
