We were in town for the weekend for a wedding nearby. It's in a great location, easy access to the city center or the highway. The room we stayed in had recently been updated and was very clean. Plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries. Miss Tina at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure we were set up with a great taxi service to get back and forth to the venue. Great value for everything you need in a great location.

Cottage was well equipped. I enjoyed the pool. They have a few fishing boats to rent out (need to have a boat license) - I'm inspired to get a boat and fishing license now to take advantage of those next time!

Location is superb, being right off Highway 401. Tim Horton's and a Harvey's right there. Room was very clean. Bathroom and shower great. Room temperature was excellent all night. Staff really accomodating.
After a very nice welcome and efficient dealing with payment etc, we were pleased to find our room clean looking and smelling, with things working properly (TV, heater, water etc.). We slept very well, on a comfortable bed with nice coverings. The location (1.5-2 kms from the 401) is very handy, especially for people not actually planning to visit Port Hope, but (like us) carrying on with their trip in the morning.
Location not exactly ideal because it’s on a busy road but a very short drive to Port Hope attractions 😊. Owners staff the motel themselves and were awesome!, checked with us a few times during our stay to ask if we needed anything and if everything was suiting our needs.
Was travelling from Ottawa to Toronto and did not want to pay the outrageous downtown Toronto hotel prices. Budget Inn was less than an hour out of town. Quiet. Clean. Affordable. All room amenities were excellent.
The Budget Inn rooms were very clean and modern, unlike many 'budget' type inns There has been and continues to be a lot of good work going into the renovations and clearly the owners care and want to make it the best for their clients. Staff was so friendly and helpful. We left a couple of things behind and they called right away to let us know they would be waiting for us at the front desk. Lovely people and a great budget friendly inn with excellent value for money.
