The owner is friendly and quick in responding, there is the option to book tours, and Albert, the caretaker of the house, is very friendly and helpful. The Tut family were amazing hosts, very friendly and helpful. They scheduled amazing tours for our family that my teenagers really loved, especially the ATM cave tour. The rooms were great, the food was delicious, and we felt very at ease. Would definitely stay there again.

The pool was such a treat. Everyday after exploring it was to come back and take a dip. Quiet neighborhood, close to lots of great things. Definitely recommend having a car rental. It is walking distance to town but it’s on a hill.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Cahal Pech for 3 nights in one of the bungalows. We loved our stay here, the staff were so helpful and accommodating. They helped us with getting the bus to Xunantunich and in organising a brilliant trip to ATM from here at the last minute. The bungalow was great, spacious, comfortable and clean but what really made it was the spectacular view of the balcony and hammock! Just be aware that because of these amazing views, the hotel is a little outside of town and up a hill but we were happy to walk most of the time however, very cheap taxi service was available. We also really liked the hotel restuarant and although maybe slightly more expensive than outside, on our first night after walking up the hill we really appreciated the beer and the shrimp curry which was delicious! We would highly recommend staying here!

Nice rooms with the A/C at night being very needed and useful. Small hostel which is good for a friendly social vibe but still very chilled for rest and relaxation. The wind you get on the top of the hill in the courtyard and upstairs common area was a surprising plus and much appreciated.
