A lovely spot, with a tranquil garden and small swimming pool (it can get very hot in Barreal when I was there in January!) The only downside is it's a 2km walk to the nearest restaurant, but there is a nearby corner store and kitchen where you can cook, so it's ideal for someone staying a few days. (I was only there for one night).

We spent a great couple of days here, but it was a shame that the weather was poor on day two and we couldn't enjoy the lovely pool area. The room was very spacious and the bed was huge and very comfortable. The shower was hot and the WiFi worked very well for us. Breakfast was lovely and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. There were lots of nice touches, for example, leaving an HDMI cable connected to the TV is a simple thing, but it's the first time we have seen this. The views of the snow-capped Andes were spectacular. Parking was on site and secure.

We had a lovely stay here :-) The host was very welcoming & communicative during our stay, she made sure we had everything we needed & let us park our car on the driveway. The apartment was comfortable and we had heaters for when it got cold. The kitchen was small but plenty for a few days! The town is very walkable, a few vineyards, a nice ice cream parlour, and a lovely spot by the river are all within an hour of walking on the flat. We had a relaxing stay :-) As a side note, a word of warning to anyone hiring a car from Mendoza like we did - there was an hour's stretch of gravel road (maybe 50km) on the road up, just south of the observatory junction - maybe consider upgrading to a 4x4 instead of a little car like we had!
