The game drive was special, too, and the Ranger was a nice guy, very knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. We enjoyed our drive with him very much. Food was also really, really good. Even the breakfast packs (which are usually a bit of a let-down compared to the normal on-site breakfast) were way better than at other accommodations. Great place!

There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. Truly one of the best experiences I have had in Africa. Sam is outstanding as a manager and a host. She is well supported by Keenan her husband. What makes this lodge stand out is the personal experience they afford the guest. Sam and Keenan are always on site. It is clear they love the lodge and run it as if it were their own. I felt so much at home here, I didn’t want to leave. The food was amazing and so were the rest of the staff. Kyle who did all of my game drives was awesome. Not only does he have amazing luck, he is patient, and is happy to sit with animals for as long as we want to. Having been to Africa many times in the past I have seen the big five before. But the experience at Sungulwana far exceeded anywhere else. I will certainly be coming back again and again.

Falaza Game Park and Spa is 17 km from Khangela Private Game Lodge - Self Catering - Bedrooms are 3 Separate Chalets - Hluhluwe, while Makasa Nature Reserve is 25 km away. The lodge had absolutely every little thing you could need including a bank of cables and USB points for charging devices. The kitchen was very well equipped and laid out. The scenery was beautiful, with an abundance of Birdlife. We had nyala and giraffe visit the lodge, plus a little bushbaby!! An utterly amazing experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone! The host was excellent at communicating and we had the best stay!
