The nearest airport is Sibiu International, 55 km from the lodge, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. The cottage is in a beautiful and quiet mountain area, close to the Bâlea Waterfall (Cascada Bâlea) (15 min by car) where the cable car starts, which takes you up to the Bâlea Lake. Very nice room, superb shower and bathroom, has a shared kitchen. It also has a porch with chairs to sit and relax and a grill area, which we did not use as it was winter. The host is very kind and helpful, they live in the house next to the cottage. It was a perfect stay.

We had a wonderfull stay at Andolia! Such a beautiful and quiet place with good food! We were picked up with a 4x4 to get to the hotel, because there was no paved road. We made use of the private sauna and had a good look at the moon with the telescope they had, it was amazing 🤗 we made hikes directly from Andolia in the mountains and relaxed at the fireplace at night. The staff was very friendly and we are sure we want to come back again!

The small wooden cabin was very cozy and comfortable, quiet enough and had everything you need (a small fridge, a table inside and outside, a TV, hair dryer, etc). The host was also very nice, responsive to messages and made sure we are good. The location is great, just outside of the small village of Cartisoara, on the famous Transfagarasan road.
We liked our stay at Hotel Piatra Mare. The hotel is about 30 mins walk from the gondola lifts but they offer free shuttle for guests which is very useful. The driver, Attila is a nice and helpful man. After a long day on the slopes you can enjoy the wet or dry sauna, salt cabin and the pool as well. We were very happy with the breakfast served in the hotel's restaurant which was included in the price.
The cabin is very nice and has a beautiful view. We really enjoyed the fireplace and the coziness.
Everything was perfect. Efficient communication with the host, very friendly and helpful. The cabin is very clean, comfortable and cosy. The area is peaceful, wild and calm. You feel disconnected and isolated from the urban life but still close to an accessible road and people in case anything happens. The fireplace was the highlight for a cold day. We can't wait to return to experience the place in other seasons.
The property location is outstanding - in the middle of a pine forest, near a beautiful lake and a wonderful nature reserve ”Reci Birch Forest”. The wooden chalet is very nicely decorated and its garden is charming. The chalet has all the needed home appliances and has a cozy rustic air. The host is very friendly and eager to fulfill our requirements.
Everything was perfect! Beautiful, well equipped, clean, cosy tiny cabin, 15 min drive from the city, in a very calm environment, near the woods. A great place to escape and relax comfortably in nature or for a base to do touristy things. Grill, fireplace for the evenings, coffee sitting on the garden swing in the morning…and dog friendly. Dog bowls were available ☺️
We recently had the pleasure of staying at a brand new A-Frame Chalet in a wonderfully quiet location. It was the perfect retreat after a long day of driving. The experience was absolutely fantastic, and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. From the moment we arrived, We was impressed by the cozy and inviting atmosphere of the chalet. The A-Frame design added a unique touch to the overall aesthetic, giving it a charming and rustic feel. The interior was tastefully decorated, blending modern comforts with a cozy cabin ambiance.
If you have a 4WD vehicle this place is definitely made for you ! The house is incredibly charming and cozy, the mountain views are breathtaking, the location is a dream (I repeat if you have a 4WD) the chalet is much bigger than on the photos ! The fireplace is amazing if you can manage to arrange wood delivery to the house. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
We choose the “chalet”, a nice cabin in the woods close to the main house. It is fully furnished with two double size beds, a private bathroom, fridge, closet, bed sheets, towels, paper and soap. The common kitchen was well furnished and clean. The location is perfect to go to hike to Bucegi mountains and the view over the mountains is stunning! The access to the hot tub is delightful!
