In short, 5 booked days turned into two weeks. We immediately felt at home and incredibly comfortable. For us it was a little paradise. The river that borders the house is perfect for swimming or fishing. From the outdoor kitchen you had a really beautiful view of the mountains, the river and the sunrise. It is a beautiful, quiet place with chickens, cats and sheep that belong to Walter's mother. She lives on the property and supplied us with little things to eat and drink from her little shop. When we were there, there were two baby cats that we really loved.
It is super easy, quick and cheap to get to Huaraz town with the collectivo bus.
From the property you can walk several small treks, such as to viewpoints and to a waterfall. We were lucky that Walter accompanied us on an adventurous hike to the waterfall. We already miss it and can highly recommend this beautiful spot in nature to everyone. It really exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful mountain setting overlooking the Rio Santa below.. The owner was very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Great location for those who don't like being in the hustle and bustle of the city. It's easy and cheap to catch a collectivo (mini van) into the city of Hauraz.

Everything! We absolutely loved to stay in this beautiful place, the views are stunning,the food is delicious, the staff are so kind and attentive, the tents are spaciois and have comfortable beds. You have free acces to tea and water throughout the day and the Domes offer additional beverages to buy once there. It is outside of the city Huaraz, but it makes sense to stay here as you have easy acces to so many unknown and beatiful lakes and walking routes. Staying here was an absolut highligt of our trip and we left wanting to stay there longer.

We had an amazing stay at Kame Hostel. Chris and his mother create a very welcoming space. The rooms are basic but clean and it is in a more quiet part of Huaraz which is nice. The common room is cozy AND they have a fireplace which was amazing. They also have a good kitchen! But most of all Chris is a great guy and is very willing to share information about treks to make sure you have a good time. We booked 3 nights, extended with 3 more and wanted to stay even longer. Because of Easter it wasnt possible! Would highly recommend!!
Such a cute hotel with a really homely feel. They had a fireplace upstairs at night time and the little sun terrace was a nice place to hang out during the daytime. The shower had great pressure and abundant hot water. Breakfast is buffet style with a coffee machine for espressos and cappuccino etc. I really enjoyed my stay here.

So lucky to have found this place - clean, spacious and has a nice fireplace ! Chris is a great host and very knowledgeable about the mountains. If you want to do hikes off the beaten track, he will be happy to help you out!
Lovely, clean, comfortable beds. Varied lovely breakfasts every day and it was very easy to book tours through reception. They kindly let me pay for tours later when I arrived back having not had a chance to visit the atm before they shut, which was very kind. At one point the shower ran cold, but after speaking to the staff, they sorted this out quickly.
I loved the friendly staff, the yummy food, and the amenities where I can just roam, sit, relax, read or write in front of a fireplace. So amazing.
