The service is incredibly nice, we felt very at home. We even got blankets to chill on one of the many couches when it got chilly in the evening. The pool is great, big and clean. The room was nice and generous. The food was incredible! Great portions and super yummy for an affordable price. They also had no issues preparing something vegetarian for us. We loved the breakfast as well, it was the best we had during our entire 2-month vacation.

In the midst of a grueling Colca Canyon hike we got to Ribelino's place. In such a remote location we found exceptional luxury: king size bed, linen like a cloud, a wonderful bathroom, huge picture window looking across to the daunting mountain we'd descended the day before AND a balcony. The dinner we had started with appie and soup AND it's 40 minutes to the nearest road...by donkey. Bravo Ribelino! You have created an amazing refuge for travellers and it was exceptional! Situated 14 km from Colca Canyon and 9 km of Cabanaconde Casa de virginia offers accommodation 9 km away from Cabanaconde.. Best stay in Llahuar! Rooms are basic but clean and warm during the night. I had a room with stones inside and it was very nice! Really hot shower any time! Beautiful garden to relax, with 3 pools with thermal water. You can also go to 2 pools right on the river. Stunning views of the canyon and the river, from atop you see everything. Delicious dinner, tasty pancakes for breakfast. The staff is super helpful, you feel at home, very cosy and relaxed vibe. Easy to reach from san juan, 4 hrs walking. Transport can be arranged to cabanaconde if you don't want to climb up. Highly recommend this place!

The views from the rooms and from the main common areas were absolutely incredible. This is a great place to wake early and look for the condors and many many other birds. The grounds are a stunning garden of flowers and sweet-smelling herbs. It was fantastic having a slow morning soaking in the views and enjoy the stunning scenery. The dinner was one of our best in Peru, which we did not expect! Terrific soups, perfectly cooked meat and wonderful flavors. We had herbal tea freshly picked from the garden.

Llahuar Lodge features a garden, 3 hot spring thermal water pools that is open 24hours. It is located a 3-hour walk from Huaruro waterfalls and 9 km from Canamaconde town. Two things to highlight: how candid Mr. Claudio's family was and how abrupt, grand and welcoming the landscape felt. I'd highly recommend this place for hikers looking for relaxation and couples looking for a honeymoon.
