Located on a desert reserve between Sesriem and Solitaire, Soft Adventure Camp offers chalet accommodation for nature enthusiasts, just 30 minutes drive away from Namib-Naukluft National Park.

Overlooking the plains, the spacious and rustic-style chalets have a fixed structure with canvas partitions. Each is equipped with a small patio, a shower, a fan, linen and towels. We really enjoyed our stay at this small family-run business. The brothers Kai and Sven as well as the rest of the staff work really hard to make this place a lovely experience for all guests. We were upgraded to a lodge room as the adventure camp tends to not be occupied during winter time. The food was incredibly good, we had 3 to 4-course meals every evening and a delicious breakfast with lots of options. The barbecue dinner outside was our favorite. We also did the Sossusvlei tour with Sven and highly recommend it, as well as the sundowner tour where we saw zebras, ostriches, jackals, oryx, warthogs and more. There are hikes you can do around the large property and waterholes where you can look out for some animals. At night, you get to see the milky way and stars as bright as day. It's enjoyably quiet and the attention we received from Kai and Sven and their colleagues is hard to come by in other places! We'd definitely stay here again :)

These spacious, air-conditioned bungalows feature warm décor and local touches. Situated near the Naukluft Mountain Zebra Park, the lodge has an outdoor swimming pool with a shaded seating area.

Each of the units at Agama Lodge has a deck area with views of the Naukluft Mountains. They also include a writing area, and a private bathroom with a shower. Very cosy, modern and extremely beautiful place. Highly recommended!

There is a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries in each unit, along with bathrobes. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Let's start with the staff, they are incredibly kind and helpful, and at moment i felt like I was at home. The rooms were very beautiful and in African safari style, everything in the room was very clean, I felt very comfortable. I also paid 18€ per person for dinner, it was very tasty, especially the fish and oryx, and also we had a dessert. I recommend everyone to book dinner at this hotel, you will not regret !! But the most amazing thing is that two giraffes live on the territory of this hotel, Joanna and Natasha. You can meet them while walking on territory of hotel or every morning they come for breakfast near the pool and you can feed them. I was very glad to get to this hotel and I am sure that I will return again and again !

The chalet features a barbecue and a garden, which can be enjoyed by guests if the weather permits. We liked the location, deep in to nature. We liked the ambience of a working farm. We liked interacting with the farm people. We loved to be able to walk and watch birds and see Kudu and other buck in the wild. Really a wonderful place and wonderful people. Located south of Solitaire, Namib Naukluft Lodge is set on the private Nam Nau Habitat. Backed by granite hills, the lodge offers an outdoor pool. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and restaurant.

Decorated in earth colors, the en suite rooms are equipped with air conditioning, refrigerator and a terrace with view. The bathrooms are fitted with a shower and toilets. Towels are offered. Stopped for the night on our way to Swakopmund. Room was nice and big for a family of 4. Excellent wifi and water pressure which is a huge plus for such an isolated place. Food at the lodge is also very good. From our verandar we were able to see animals roaming the plains and wildebeests drinking from the waterhole. Sunset rock on the property is also a nice spot to see the surrounding area and makes for great pics and viewing. The best part about the property is the way the staff treat and care for you during the stay. Only regret about this lodge is that we only stayed for a night.

Offering a garden, Rooisand Desert Ranch offers accommodation on the C26 in Chausib, approximately half-way between Walvis Bay and Windhoek. Free private parking is available on site.

All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with mountains views. Some units also have a kitchen, equipped with a refrigerator. Towels are available. It was wonderful to stay at the Rooisand Desert Ranch, which is a great location in a very beautiful area near the Gamsberg Nature Reserve and mountain (approximately 10 km away but in easy viewing distance). The ranch is a natural stop for people traveling between Windhoek and the coast and/or desert. The area has a very clear sky at night, and people sometimes come from afar to watch the stars. There is a path / dirt road to a viewing / stargazing platform a few kilometers from the ranch. It is within easy walking distance, but it is also possible to drive there. I went for a random morning walk in in the neighboring hills and encountered several zebra, springboks and many different kinds of birds. The management and staff were very hospitable and welcoming.
