We loved everything about the accommodation. Hosts were lovely and their dogs are so well behaved. The kids loved having 4 little doggies coming to pay a visit every so often.

Great, clean accommodation. All the essentials you need to self-cater. Easy to figure out, or use of informative manual. Very decent sized rooms. Everything seemed quite new. Very quiet area - great for stargazing. Easy access to Kielder Forest Park and Hadrian's wall. Staff were very friendly, and quick to respond to queries whether through text or in person. Would love to go back again for sure!

We really enjoyed the little details that made the stay feel more luxurious such as the robes, hand cream, breakfast, and the ducks in the hot tub. Having the owner update us on the little quirks of the cabin before our arrival waa also a nice touch and made it feel like we could reach out if we needed to.

We absolutely loved the view and the cozy feeling of the hut. It’s the perfect size for two people and has all the amenities you can ask for. The bed is incredibly comfortable. The hosts were really lovely and helpful people, showed us around and brought great energy with them, me and my partner are already looking forward to staying there again.
The hut felt very homely and was well equipped for a small space. Found the bed very comfortable and loved the fairy lights which created a cosy atmosphere. The woodburner lit easily and created much warmth on a cold night. The shower was hotter than I expected for an off grid hut and there was more than enough time for a proper shower. Amazing view and beautifully maintained outdoor space contributed to the perfect stay.
It was remote and had a cute little stream directly outside the shepherds hut. Absolutely stunning surroundings. It was a little old fashioned, but it gave the Shepherds Hut character. I was impressed with the shower, considering it’s a water pump system.
We were welcomed by Rob and shown around the hut and given the details of how to navigate around the hut. He was very friendly and we wished we could have stayed longer. The bed was so very comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped.
Amazing stay. The hosts looked after us and made sure we had everything we need. Top tip, explore the hut..... And look for that hidden whiskey x!
Basic looking wooden chalets but fully renovated and clean in a beautiful setting. Fully recommend
