Beds are very comfortable; kitchen has everything needed for a self-catering stay; living/dining room; good water pressure in the shower; fast WiFi; nice verandah for sitting out on and BBQing etc. Owners very proactive in their communication and check-in/out was super smooth. Parking right in front of the cabin.

(except the fact that it rained and was cloudy). The location to surrounding areas was great. No restaurant but brought food in.

The chalet also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Wow what a surprise and hidden gem! The chalets/cabins are amazing! It is right off of the highway so you may not expect much, but surprise surprise! This place had the best beds of my whole trip. The place was spotless and had TV! Not that you need it because the view of the river is breath taking and there are a few paths to walk near by. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for breakfast or dinner (BYO groceries). The grounds are beautiful for kids or pets (if allowed). Having your own BBQ is a nice bonus and there is a grocery store only 2 mins walk from the place. While there may not be much "touristy" things to do around here - we used it as a base to Port Aux Choix - I would return and spend at least 3 days there to rest and recharge.

This is one of the best places that we have ever stayed at. We travel a lot world wide so we have a lot to compare this to. Everything was wonderful from the friendly, happy, helpful staff to the delicious breakfast (included) and delicious dinners (extra) to the cozy, comfortable beds and rooms. The home cooked meals were exceptional and they accommodated our preferences and needs. The lodge has a communal sitting room that overlooks the beautiful lake. The area was so quiet but handy for St. Anthony's and L'anse Aux Meadows. We would stay here again. We would very highly recommend this Lodge.
