Cathy and Bruce are exceptional hosts who are welcoming and attentive but also do encroach on your time. The breakfasts are a highlight. I couldn’t believe how much effort was put into our cooked breakfast, such a great way to start the day. Our room and bathroom were spotless and cleaned to a very high standard. The beds are so comfortable. We had a wonderful stay.

The property features guided hiking tours and canoe rentals. Free WiFi is available in the main lodge and most rooms. The staff were fantastic and every little detail was perfect. We were celebrating my partners birthday with a trip around Canada. We were only staying one night and were greeted with a bottle of fizz and it was one of our favourite places out of the trip. Even better than the chateau Lake Louise! Would love to come back and stay for a lot longer.

The spacious chalet is located on the ground floor and comes with 3 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a fully equipped kitchen that provides guests with a dishwasher, an oven, a washing machine, a microwave and a toaster. Towels and bed linen are featured in the chalet. For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. We met in Fernie for a family get together and this chalet was perfect for us. We were 3 singles so 2 stayed in in the main chalet and 1 in the bunkie. Everything was well stocked with some extras you dont find everywhere and very clean. Beds comfy and the hot tub a pleasant way to end the day.

It seemed very spacious even though it was a smaller space. Loved the sauna.

Absolutely stunning location! We were delighted to get a lake facing room in one of the small buildings (most rooms are actually lake facing). Beautiful jaccuzi and fireplace, really nice restaurant. Trails from very easy to difficult are accessible directly from the hotel. The shuttle bus system from the car park is very well organised, even at busy times there's practically no wait for the shuttle.

The location was incredible, and worth the cost alone. I liked the rooms, they were cosy, with comfortable beds, a fireplace, and a very big balcony which I liked. I liked the shuttle service too, it was easy to use and the shuttles came pretty quick once you called.
Overall we were pleased with our cabin. A couple of minor issues which were discussed with staff. Mattress was a bit uncomfortable which caused minor back issues. BBQ was awesome…even heat so our steak supper was perfect. Fireplace was great. Cozy while watching tv to unwind.
Location as group of traditional wooden chalets (sorry no bungalows!) nicely situated in a bushy surrounding. Facilities is a mixture, modern facilities as hottub, large fridge, BBQ and high speed internet / TV combined with outdated facilities. If you like kind of glamping then this could fit you.
Very charming wooden cabin in the woods! It is basic (apart from the hot tub!) but we had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the cabin was clean. We didn’t use the shower but it did look dated. Check in was easy and we were pleasantly surprised at how good the WiFi was. The propane BBQ was also really good. We only stayed one night but had a fabulous time.
Accomodation is in wooden lodges by the lake. Room had a fireplace in it and logs which we didn't use as weather was hot. Handy shuttle bus takes you from car park to welcoming hotel reception. Great position on Emerald lake, very scenic. You can hire canoes on the lake.
Great location and Chalet for the family. It was nice and clean and the communication from staff was great. Nice Cabin with all the things you need including the kitchen area. It was quite and there is a picnic table outside with fire pit though there was a fire fan and it was way too hot to be outside. The air conditioner inside was a nice.
The location of the lower cabins is quite secluded and very quiet. The chalet was very clean and well laid out. Check in was super easy abd communication with staff was limited but efficient. Affordable luxury with very comfortable beds.
Location is on Red Mountain resort itself, although it’s not ski-in / ski-out: you do have to walk 5 minutes to the Day Lodge and lifts. Red Shutter Cabin is unique, an awesome, adventurous place to stay. The BBQ is right outside the front door and the private hot tub is a very short walk to a covered platform over the sauna! The wood stove inside made it a truly memorable and romantic stay. The main king sized bed was comfortable and cosy, upstairs above the main room.
