Lovely food prepared by Vicky, quiet and peaceful sitting looking at the view to the dam and beyond, walking the dogs around the estate, kids enjoyed the rowing boat on the dam. Just a great place to go for the weekend.

We had a wonderful stay at Stonecutter’s lodge. The chalets are beautiful, clean and have everything needed for a wonderful stay. The chalets are well secured and nestled within a forest-like setting.
Misty Mountain is situated on the Long Tom Pass, between Sabie and Lydenburg on the Panorama Route and close to Kruger National Park. The lodge has a restaurant, pub and kid’s playground.

The location was perfectly suited for our stay. It was good value for money. The rooms have been upgraded since I last visited, that’s a great improvement.
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
Lovely place with beautiful setting. Super host with outstanding decor. Great attention to detail. Chalet is situated in a game camp- we arrived a bit late and it was a pity that we could not see much of the animals.
The Hobbiton Cottage was warm and welcoming!
We loved how the host took so much care in making our stay comfortable.
The lounge has a large fireplace with a basket of wood ready to be lit!
It was self catering. Everything need that one could possibly need for a quiet getaway in nature, was supplied. Wonderful cottage - great views of the Spekboom River. Trout fishing available. Great raised deck and an amazing entertainment area. Massive Fireplace and en suite rooms to all 4 bathrooms. Fantastic layout of the cottage - very spacious.
