This was my first stay in a camp ever and I have to say that I am very satisfied. I did a right choice and selected a small hut (1 night stay) and I felt very cosy in it. It is a great camp 2 km from Urk and midst fantastic nature, fantastically cared lawns and sufficient offer of food & snacks. Reception staff very friendly, you can order snacks at the reception and pick them up next morning for a fresh breakfast. A pity I could stay only 1 night but I had to go on (I travelled by car and did 4000 km in 8 days visiting 7 countries). There is also a pool and playground for kids and pony horses.
And there are 3 beautiful cats in the camp going around. One of them was insisting and I let him in the hut and he jumped on a bed immediatelly to lie down. I like cats and please my request to camp staff: please keep some food and water for cats so they can eat and drink and enjoy in the camp, too. Thank you.

Very nice little holiday home with a great terrace including a view of the Markermeer. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bathroom is modern. Restaurants, supermarkets and the train station are nearby.

Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Views over the Ijsselmeer we're spectacular. Everything we needed was in the chalet. Check in was easy. We rented bikes near to the train station and we never needed a car. Stores, the city center and the swimming pool were very convenient. We took wonderful bike rides direct from the chalet. We used a map provided by the bike rental.
Staying on a boat like this is a very nice experience. Of course the cabins are basic, but that is part of the charm. The beds were surprisingly comfortable for bunk beds. The location in the harbour was perfect, the captain was very nice and welcomed us himself. Try the Pelikaan beer which you can tap yourself.
Tip: Towels are not included, bring your own.
