New Year at Forest Edge Lodge was an absolute delight! The hosts were incredibly gracious and warm, welcoming us with open arms. Staying at the lodge was just what we needed. It's tucked away, giving a sense of escape without being too isolated. The atmosphere was homely and the hosts, incredibly welcoming. Looking forward to our next visit to this charming spot.

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Room was compact but perfectly acceptable. Pool was shut during our stay (I think) but wasn't looking to use. Friendly, helpful staff

The location of the hotel is unbeatable: it is ideal for an overnight stay near the airport (2 minutes on foot) if you have an early morning flight. The bed is super comfy and the bedsheets immaculately clean and of good quality. The hot water pressure is great. There is a fridge in the room and a kettle. You can hear planes and cars with the window open but the noise level is greatly reduced when you shut the window.

Very nice location only about 700 metres from the railway station, also not far from the bus station. Easy walk to the Old town, many shops, stores and restaurants nearby. Bus stop next to the building, tram stop one block away. Tiny room but enough for a one person for couple of nights. I like the fact that there is a cabinet where to hide your bits and pieces.

Everything. At 2km from airport in full nature. I shut down the heating, and open the window for fresh air in the night. No noise, just the light shuffle of the nature. Employees are nice, ready to help. Confortable room. Exactly what I wish

Location is okay, the rest is all bad… can’t do early check in, employee thought they are 200% good and never wanted to improve. The cabinets don’t have handles.. very strange setup… noisy from neighbours…

Room was very good, location is perfect for tourists, breakfest room is huge, was always easy to find a place and food selection was expectional. Airport shuttle was arranged by the hotel in advance.

The apartment was secure, clean and very central. Excellent queen sized comfortable bed, lovely hot rain shower and star of the show, an open fireplace. Well worth paying 10 euros a bag that will last you 2-3 nights, ask in advance for this. Yes, the room will smell of smoke, just like being in a log cabin in the woods! Great for watching a large wall mounted TV and sipping some wine in the evening. A highly recommended stay to explore Riga from. Loved it!
