This property is perfect, well equipped in a lovely, private location by the river, in a small wooded area. It felt like a very special place, sunshine and clear sky and a wonderful display of the Northern Lights, an unforgettable experience.
Warm and cozy inside with windows that frame the view beautifully. I didn’t think I’d love the outdoor shower but it was a lovely experience, lots of hot water and a single step back into the warmth of the cabin. This place is perfect, I wished we had been able to stay a second night.

Our group of 4 really enjoyed the location - very quiet, off the beaten track with superlative views of Hekla, a river winding along the back of the property and Icelandic horses to pet. In addition very conveniently placed as an entry point into the Highlands. This is what appealed to me enough to book in the first place.
Property was clean, well equipped and we used the hot tub which was perfect after a long day.

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
Traveling as a family of five. We stayed outside in one of the chalets with a hot tub. The kids loved the hot tub. We ate dinner in the restaurant, the food was good. The breakfast was a huge spread with a lot of variety.
We had a lovely stay at the Audkula Dome Cabin! It was very cozy, clean and had everything we needed. The location is perfect for exploring surrounding attractions such as Landmannalaugar or Porsmörk. The nearby bus stop makes it suitable for guests traveling by public transport as well. The hosts responded to our requests very quickly and spared no effort for us. We are very happy that we booked this accommodation!
Good location if you are exploring the Highlands, but expect to drive to a remote area with a bit of gravel. Overall very thoughtfully designed cabin with a booklet for recommendation for things to do nearby. Bonus - personal touch of 2 small pieces of chocolate as welcome gesture.
despite the long side trip off-road to the cabin - or maybe because of that - I was very surprised about the unusual location with a perfect view to Mt Hekla. It had the mystery factor and I felt how I want to feel in a cottage - far off track. I can only recommend testing it out.
Cozy cabin feel hotel, but rooms are very spacious and service excellent across the board. We had very welcoming service, and excellent restaurant experience as well both nights. Most uniquely, its an isolated and peaceful location, with star/sky observatory hut 3 min walk from hotel. They gave a wonderful skygazing session explaining the incredible skyscape you see given you are in low-light pollution area, and most importantly we saw the Northern Lights for over an hour in middle of this session!
Nice wooden chalet overlooking the mountains in the distance. The house was spacious enough for our family of four. The owners are super friendly and helpful. Their dog and horses proved to be an amazing bonus for the kids.
