For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
It has combination of all facilities bathtub in the rooms, ( not standing shower) Hot pool, warm breakfast, shuttle service and parking facilities for flying. It meets all our necessities.
The hotel is a good stay option near Howrah Station which is where my mother and wife took their train to Shanti Niketan. Floating hotel cabins on the river make it fascinating...so if one wants to enjoy the experience go for it! Rooftop view. The security guard was good who helped with the luggage in the rain.
A beautiful semi-renovated mansion in the center of Calcutta's historic area. I loved walking everywhere...the neighborhood is "authentic" but very safe only steps from the Hogg-New Market. The staff is helpful, and the restaurant excellent before it started shutting down for a wedding. The whole atmosphere of the public rooms is fabulous...perhaps "Raj" but more likely just cosmopolitan Calcutta-Kolkata. Internet was great.
The staff kept calling me all night related to the questions on the document and the person I was with. In spite of me entering with the person and showing all documents when entering 4-5 hours back. My door was banged all night and I don't know by whom, The neighbours kept partying and banging my door all night. The ad says Airport shuttle but there was none. The small TV had no active subscription. The room was very small.
The property is inside a chawl lane
Very intidy rooms
Says 24*7 checkin but had a shutter down - so had to knock in the night.
No towels were provided
No toothpaste
Service took more than 30 mins to cater for towels, toothpaste and breakfast.
good, clean and quiet hotel within walking distance to airport, but they also provide a shuttle if you need it. good facilities, breakfast - everything you could want from an airport located hotel.
the room was nice, nicely decorated and comfortable. it had a balcony which was nice, but because the door to the balcony and the window were wooden shutters, in was not very light unless you opened the door, and then it was noisy. The restaurant was nice, but mostly offered western and Italian food, and I didn’t come to India to eat pizza. the staff were nice and helpful, and helped me arrange a cab to the airport very early in the morning. the rooms are situated around the courtyard, and it is nice.
