We loved the hot tub and the lodge was decorated very tastefully! It was quieter than we expected, being so close to the A30. Overall, a lovely location.
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
Beautiful setting with very welcoming hosts. The location was great for exploring Devon and Cornwall but also allowed for escape from the summer crowds. The hut itself is enchanting and the owners have equipped it with all the things you could need plus more. A great weekend relax and chill or a base for walking, exploring or site seeing. Very good value for money.
Lovely and spacious except for the kitchen. Somewhere to sit out in privacy. Host were very quick to answer when we had queries. Bed was luxuriously comfortable and it was nice to have a bedside cabinet each. Comfortable seating in the lounge.
Warm welcome from the hosts, fresh flowers in the hut, fresh bread, milk and fruit juice . Peace and quiet. The hut was very clean with a lovely comfy bed. The bird feeder on the window by the bed meant we were visited each morning by two squirrels, siskins and blue tits. We were lucky with the weather and witnessed lovely sunsets whilst enjoying a BBQ and toasting marshmallows on the fire pit. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back for a third.
What an amazing property. Very private and relaxing. Great views of lake and country side. Brilliantly equipped luxury cabin with superb wood burner. the hosts were very attentive and couldn’t do enough to make us feel at home. Finally the live wildlife cameras and live feed to the lodge was wonderful and a super extra. A huge thank you to our hosts.
