Richard and Cathy were very welcoming hosts. They greeted us and provided a great folder with local activities, places to eat and advice. The accommodation was in a quiet location but still close to the town and had breathtaking countryside views. Every room was cleaned thoroughly, especially the bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped and they kindly left us a sweet treat. The family definitely exceeded our expectations and we hope to visit again!

Easy no nonsense booking and communication. Simple key retrieval. Very nice and clean apartment which was just what we needed very near to Dubrek where I was playing a concert. Aldi was also very useful for tour supplies. Bathroom excellent, very high standard shower, and bed very comfortable. We were in Apt 6 and it was nice, quiet and secluded. Exactly what we needed.

All cabins in Matlock
Looking for a cabin?
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

We just wanted a place to crash after attending a concert locally but were delighted with the Wind in the willows themed cabin that we were allocated. Bear in mind this is primarily accommodation for Gullivers kids theme park. We did not take up the other facilities on offer so cannot comment on those.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property. The cottage is so cosy and it has everything you need. It is immaculate all through. The welcoming tray was lovely too. The log cabin with the fire pit is a bonus on cold nights. It is also a good location. We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

The cottage had that cottage feel. Wooden beams, comfy, a working fireplace, all the little things. The car box in the bathroom, the little kitchen bits you might forget, and the most amazing views.

Great place to stay for 1 or 2 nights. The cabins are small but quirky, we loved it , and made a change to a standard hotel room. Lovely views to wake up to with the morning cuppa. Staff all seemed very happy and helpful.

A fabulous property which was spotlessly clean. The wooden cabin with wood burner inside is a real bonus too. The owners were helpful, friendly and thoughtful. Fully recommend.
