We loved the hot tub and the lodge was decorated very tastefully! It was quieter than we expected, being so close to the A30. Overall, a lovely location.

Lovely lodge. Comfy. Views were lush. Hosts were very accomodating. Loved looking around the farm. The dogs were very friendly. Lovely location for a base. I will definitely be going back and would highly recommend this lodge
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
A wonderful place to stay both from perspective of location as well as the accommodation. Beautifully decorated little barn with absolutely everything that is needed. All private as well. Nice enclosed garden that kept our puppy safe and happy. Favourite features were log burner and wooden floor upstairs.
Perfectly clean as well and even had luxury bed sheets.
The room was perfect for a weekend getaway, well appointed and very comfortable. The hotel has multiple views of the moors. The living room was gorgeously decorated and was perfect to sit and relax around the fireplace. Breakfast was delicious.
Perfect little bolt hole for a single person or couple. Located just outside the village itself, it’s a great place to stay & enjoy the surrounding countryside & moors! A very warm welcome from the hosts, a few essentials in the fridge & a very well designed hut, I couldn’t fault it! I’ll be back at some point in the future.
Literally everything! The Shepherd's Hut is so quaint, gorgeous, and perfect for a well needed break in the quiet rolling hills with calm fresh air. The view straight out from our bed was exceptional, and the location was superb! Not to mention the lady who looks after the Hut, Corrine, was so lovely and really helpful with our stay. I couldn't rate this accommodation highly enough and I hope we can come back year after year!
It is set in a beautiful location with fabulous views over Dartmoor. It was our first time staying in a Shepherd's Hut and we were really impressed by the size and facilities. There are outdoor seating/living areas that adds to the comfort, especially in good weather. Corrine and Steve were very welcoming, as were Chloe and Bella. The little extras left for us were a real bonus. It was truly relaxing and we were able to walk up onto the moors directly from the hut. We stayed 3 nights and were sorry to be leaving.
