It was so quiet and peaceful and the location was brilliant for us we truly had the best time there
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
The location is ideal - walkable from Waverley, walkable from the airport bus, walkable to the centre. The apartment itself was so much bigger than I expected, clean, well-furnished/decorated (loved the Edinburgh map wallpaper!). Left my bags at the office as I arrived early which was much appreciated. It's on the ground floor but there are wooden shutters to the street; the little balcony at the back is great, albeit looking over a side street/car park. Would stay again without hesitation.
My room was huge, with ensuite.
I loved the old-fashioned wooden shutters which kept the heat in well.
Staff happy to keep my bag for a while after checkout, at no charge.
Leith was the area I wanted to be in, and it's about 20 mins from the centre by bus.
Excellent location in the heart of Edinburgh with gorgeous views over the castle and Princes St. Room was very comfortable and spacious. Windows have wooden shutters so you can close at night to block light and noise. Easy walk to restaurants, shops and to the Royal Mile with Edinburgh Castle at one end and The Palace at the other end.
I liked the location of the apartment as it is close to bus and tram stops, shops and a particularly nice eating place. Entry into the building is by a door code and I much prefer this rather than struggling to find keys in a pocket/bag, The apartment is in a lovely old building and the decor of the inside is both stylish and homely. The huge windows, which let in so much light, had beautiful original wooden shutters. Everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay was provided in this lovely clean and spacious apartment.
Large lounge, big windows, ground floor, wooden and tile flooring, sofa was comfortable, wooden shutters, portable oil radiators (it snowed and the temperature fell to -2C during our stay), price. Keybox easy to retrieve keys from.
it was a Sunday that we stayed so it was half the price which made it really worth the money. it was a gorgeous room and a super comfy bed. the sash windows and wooden shutters were a lovely touch. the shower was also really relaxing.
A stylish wee hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. The bedroom and bathroom are very spacious and beautifully furnished. A huge, comfortable bed and lots of sitting space, with big bay window and lovely old wooden shutters. The bathroom has a big, walk-in shower and freestanding bath. And to top it off the family-owned Canny Man's pub next door is a quirky, fascinating old place with great food. With a bus stop right across the road and buses into the city centre every few minutes there's nothing to dislike.
the hotel was lovely and clean, room
was very comfortable. All amenities that you might need in the room including a good powerful hairdryer, iron and board. kettle, toiletries, heater, fan and I loved the wooden window shutters. the bed was fairly comfortable.
10-15 minute walk from the royal mile or multiple buses heading down that way. 5 min walk from holy rood park- Arthur’s seat well worth the walk in a clear day- beautiful views.
we weee able to park in the. at park with no issues.
