Glasshouse lodge, hotel in Bury Saint Edmunds

Boasting a hot tub, Glasshouse lodge is located in Hengrave. This property offers access to a balcony, table tennis, free private parking and free WiFi.

The Glasshouse Lodge was perfect for our stay. A group of friends celebrating a 50th birthday where we wanted to have a chilled weekend. The lodge was very clean, modern and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had all the utensils, glasses, plates etc needed and the added bonus of a wine fridge. The hot tub was also an added bonus to warm us up outside on a wet and cloudy day. Would highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back.

Bruce and Lauren were great hosts. We had the pleasure of talking to Bruce on arrival and he was lovely. The lodge has everything you need for a nice home from home stay. The location is brilliant, close proximity to long melford and many other places to do some sight seeing. The garden you get access to which is literally on the doorstep is absolutely amazing for walks, views and getting that little bit of nature in with a morning coffee.

Greenacre Lodge - cosy, dog-friendly rural home with private garden, hotel in Bury Saint Edmunds

Boasting garden views, Greenacre Lodge - cosy, dog-friendly rural home with private garden features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 25 km from The Apex.

A peaceful little hideaway, perfect for our family with dog whilst visiting the area. The lodge is very tastefully decorated with a calming colour scheme throughout. The beds were the comfiest I've ever slept in and we loved the swing and giant beanbags in the garden. Honestly one of the best places we've stayed in. Highly recommended and lots of nice pubs within a few minutes drive.

We've just spent 4 relaxing nights in River Lark Lodge. Stunning location, overlooking the lake and river and was so peaceful and scenic. The owners were very accomodating and communicated well, the lodge itself was clean and cosy with everything we needed provided for a great stay. We loved the views from the sofa but did use the bikes provided as well as enjoying lovely walks from the Marina. Would highly recommend..

All cabins in Bury Saint Edmunds
Looking for a cabin?
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Staff were pleasant and food was fab. The bed was huge and comfy. We booked a chalet so it would be quiet, which it was. Apart from the motor on the chemical toilet which went off every 15/20 minutes for 5 seconds and was very noisy. It would have been handy if it coupled be turned off overnight. Otherwise it was a nice hotel and I would go again but stay in the main building

This is the second time of staying at this venue and this time we booked one of the outside log cabins which was a much better experience than last time when we stayed in the main hotel. The cabin was clean and well presented with much more space and with it's own air conditioning it was lovely. As my partner has mobility issues this was an absolute godsend in not having to cope with stairs. Again, staff were few and far between but when I did manage to find someone they were helpful and friendly.
