Spotless accommodation, well appointed. Heating and drying facilities were very welcome after arriving by bicycle soaking wet! Location suited us well.

Lovely quiet location, the lodge had everything you could want for a self catering stay. Unfortunately could not enjoy the surroundings due to the weather but very comfortable and if I am staying in the area again will definitely look to stay here again

Beautiful clean lodge set off the main road but in a great setting woodland feel overlooking field. Host was very friendly. We stayed to do an experience at longleat and to see Stonehenge cracking location for those two attractions. Highly recommend

Fabulous lodge for romantic weekend trip to Test Valley. The lodge is beautifully done with everything you could possibly need and the bonus of being able to sit by the tranquil River Test in the garden. We had a lovely meal at the Mayfly and enjoyed wine tasting at Blackchalk vineyard.

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
A very unique experience with the Shepherds huts set up out the back of the pub. Love the huts and the train carriage and the bus in the beer garden which had been converted to a kids play area.
We loved our first stay that much that we stayed here again on our way back to Dover! We loved the accomodation (Shepherd‘s hut and railway carriage), the Pub, the food, the surrounding (Wood Hendge in viewing distance), the friendly staff and the great breakfast. We will be back next year for sure!
Really nice little pub, staff were super friendly and helpful. The hut was really cute and put together really well, definitely worth the experience, we walked back from stonehenge, beautiful walk bit took 1 and half hours, bus stop right out the front of the pub as well
Hotel nothing like the picture. Pub area rough & overcrowded. More for youngsters as loud & noisy. Shepherds hut had dangerous steps NO handrail. Tatty shower we didn’t use! Poor shower & hand basin No hot water. Bed clean but hard against the wall so hard to get out of in the night.
The Shepards huts were peculiar and fun so quite small to turn around but fair enough it was a fun experience. Dinner was in a typical pup atmosphere and fun. Food was good. Breakfast was good and the people working at the sheppards in were super friendly.
Comfortable bed with clean and warm bedding. Good value for money. Perfect location for our requirements.Quirky and fun decor in a cute hut.
