Location was excellent. We ate at the restaurant on site, the food was excellent. No reservations required. The chalet was perfect with a hot tub that was checked daily to ensure it was working properly and that the water was hot. Easy parking on site next to the chalet. Easy walk to Lake Windermere,

Well equipped cabin. Comfortable beds. Lovely welcome pack. Fluffy towels.
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
Stayed in one of the lodges/chalets with our pooch. Very spacious accommodation with a little veranda to sit out on. On arrival, we were surprised to see a dog bed/bowls and treats were provided, a nice touch.
Plenty of options at breakfast time including a sausage for the dog!
We ended up staying an extra night.
Everything was perfect just like the last time I visited. I was upgraded to a bigger room, which was a really lovely surprise and gesture. Tina and Steve were very kind and helpful. Bought jams, apple chilli jelly and rhubarb chutney as gifts because they are so yummy. Thank you very much!!!
Lower Sycamore cottage had a good layout and was well presented which had a cosy feel to it. . Lovely high spec modern new bathroom with walk in shower ( needs the photographs updating ) with compact kitchen with everything you needed including cleaning products, cloths and dish washer tablets.. Bed was very comfy and excellent quality bed linen. Full sized double oak wardrobe, tall oak chest of drawers and two good sized oak bedside cabinets for storage.Comfortable sofa and lovely electric log burner.
Got a room in the log cabin. Room modern but petit. All facilities you need. Staff pleasant and professional. Breakfast staff very pleasant and helpful.
The location was fabulous, we enjoyed sitting in the little hut with a drink waiting for badges, we were lucky enough to see one. The food was delicious and the staff are so friendly.
Lovely location, felt safe but we had enough privacy that it didn't feel like we were surrounded by other properties. The cabin was really cozy and had everything you could possibly need for a stay. It felt clean and well-maintained, and information was well sign-posted.
The hotel was a great location, right in the centre of town and less than a mile from the pier. There is a shuttle bus that stops right outside the hotel if you don’t/can’t walk.
The family room was a perfect size. I liked that there was a sofa bed rather than bunks for the children. Lovely and clean and room was made up each day (rare since Covid in most hotels!).
What stands out here though are the staff - they were all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I couldn’t speak more highly of them.
